Basketball Recap: Mercy Prep Academy Skates Past Varsity Opponent with Ease

Mercy Prep Academy lost to Varsity Opponent back in January, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Royals blew past Varsity Opponent 65-35.

Mercy Prep Academy had a senior duo take command as Crist Rigotti posted 19 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals and Dylan Baker scored 14 points along with seven boards and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rigotti has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Bradley Lewis, who had five points in addition to seven boards and six steals.

The win got Mercy Prep Academy back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Mercy Prep Academy will head out to square off against Providence Academy at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Varsity Opponent has already played their next game (against HAFTR Hebrew Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
