Basketball Recap: Green County Picks Up 11th Straight Win on the Road

Green County had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.8 points) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They came within five points of losing the streak, but they secured a 54-49 W against the Bullitt East Chargers. Given the Dragons' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Chargers are ranked 70th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Green County pushed their record up to 19-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.2 points over those games. As for Bullitt East, their loss dropped their record down to 15-8.

Green County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 79-66 defeat against Male on the 10th. As for Bullitt East, they have also already played their next contest, a 73-59 victory against Spencer County on the 11th.
