Two dominant backs in Greg Cortez and Makai Miller are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Sports Leadership & Management Bulls will venture away from home to square off against the Durango Trailblazers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Sports Leadership & Management proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 51) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past Clark 40-37. Winning may never get old, but the Bulls sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Mark Schramm had an outrageously good game as he threw for 226 yards and four TDs. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in passer rating (141.3). Sports Leadership & Management's leading receiver Malakai Boykin was Schramm's top target yet again, picking up 72 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Durango). They really took it to Cimarron-Memorial for the full four quarters, racking up a 49-6 win. The Trailblazers pushed the score to 35-6 by the end of the third, a deficit the Spartans had little chance of recovering from.

Sports Leadership & Management better keep an eye on Maddex Peterson. He was instrumental in Durango's win, throwing for 381 yards and five TDs, while also rushing for 39 yards and one score. Amil Donald was in the mix as well, providing the Trailblazers with two touchdowns.

Durango's defense made their presence known, laying out the QB four times. Takoda Bliss was especially locked on to Cimarron-Memorial's QB and sacked him three times. Bliss has been hot, having also posted six or more total tackles the last five times he's played.

The victory got Durango back to even at 4-4. As for Sports Leadership & Management, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
