Softball Recap: Stevens Comes Up Short

After some red-hot attacks at the plate in their last three games, Stevens finally came back down to earth on Monday. They came up short against the Hillsboro-Deering Hillcats, falling 17-2. The contest marked the Cardinals' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Stevens' defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Hillsboro-Deering, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Hillcats beat Stevens by a score of 15-2 later that day.
