Recap: Yorktown Wildcats vs. Woodsboro Eagles

The Yorktown Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 20th straight defeat. They received a tough blow as they fell 54-39 to Woodsboro. Yorktown has not had much luck with Woodsboro recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Woodsboro can attribute much of their success to Jordan Zena, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Taggart Silvas, who scored ten points.

Yorktown's loss was their 19th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-21. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 26.5 points per game. As for Woodsboro, their win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-24.

Yorktown will take on Port Aransas at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Port Aransas will roll in looking for their 11th straight victory, something Yorktown surely won't give up without a fight. As for Woodsboro, they will head out on the road to square off against Three Rivers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
