Volleyball Recap: Mesquite Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Cami White and Deliliah Nielsen + How To Watch

Mesquite and Saguaro squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Mesquite had to settle for second. They fell 3-1 to the Sabercats. The Wildcats were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Sabercats earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-20, 22-25, 25-15, 25-15.

Mesquite's loss came despite strong showings from Deliliah Nielsen and Cami White. Nielsen had 18 assists and four aces, while White had 16 assists and four digs. Nielsen has been hot recently, having posted 17 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Leading Saguaro to victory were Amelia Scheidt and Nylah Bibby. Scheidt had nine digs, while Bibby had 31 kills, 17 digs, five aces, and one block. That's the most kills Bibby has posted since back in October.

Mesquite has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 25-8 record this season. As for Saguaro, they pushed their record up to 17-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Mesquite does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Saguaro, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against ALA - Queen Creek on the 10th.
