Basketball Recap: Fairbanks Extends Winning Streak to Six

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Fairbanks ultimately got the result they hoped for on Saturday. They pulled ahead with a 41-40 photo finish over the Pleasant Spartans. The 41-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring match of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Pleasant's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Evan Sickmiller, who went 6 of 8 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Lowry, who posted nine points and six rebounds.
