Softball Recap: Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles vs. Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Bishop Carroll had no problem doing just that on Friday. Everything went their way against the Saint Thomas Aquinas Saints as they made off with a 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for Bishop Carroll, who have now won 21 games by six runs or more so far this season.
Allyson Orth was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out seven batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Orth was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-4.
