Gwen Coleman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Abby Murphy also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Meanwhile, Resurrection got themselves on the board against Romeoville last Saturday, but Romeoville never followed suit. They blew past the Spartans 6-0.

Loyola Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Resurrection, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Loyola Academy took their victory against Resurrection when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 17-9. Will Loyola Academy repeat their success, or does Resurrection has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
