Volleyball Game Preview: Park Tudor Panthers vs. Lawrence Central Bears

The Park Tudor Panthers will head out on the road to challenge the Lawrence Central Bears at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Park Tudor will be strutting in after a win while Lawrence Central will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, Park Tudor made easy work of Victory College Prep and carried off a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Park Tudor took every set by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-8, 25-10, 25-6.

Meanwhile, Lawrence Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Ben Davis. While the Bears didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Giants 25-11 in the first set.

Lawrence Central started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 11-25, 13-25, 25-20, 25-16, 15-7.

Lawrence Central's loss dropped their record down to 11-16. As for Park Tudor, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.

Park Tudor couldn't quite get it done against Lawrence Central in their previous meeting back in August of 2015 as they fell 2-0. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
