Recap: Arbor View Aggies vs. Foothill Falcons
Winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up 12 more assists than your opponent, a fact the Arbor View Aggies proved on Monday. They secured a 49-45 W over Foothill. Despite the victory, that was the fewest points Arbor View has scored all season.
It was another big night for Pharaoh Compton, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and 13 rebounds. The matchup was Compton's fifth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Thaddeus Thatcher, who scored 14 points.
Several Falcons players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Branden Castro, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Castro has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Zak Abdalla, who scored 14 points.
Arbor View now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Foothill, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-1.
Arbor View will be playing in front of their home fans against Las Vegas at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Las Vegas focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Monday. As for Foothill, they will head out on the road to face off against San Tan Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
