It was a good run, but CORE Butte unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Redding Christian Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lynx of the 3-1 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Karisa Walborn paced CORE Butte's offense, picking up seven kills. Walborn got some help from Allison Freimuth and her 15 assists. Reagan Coates controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

CORE Butte's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 13-6. As for Redding Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-8-3 record this season.

CORE Butte didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Paradise Adventist Academy on the 2nd. As for Redding Christian, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Burney on the 2nd.
