Basketball Recap: Cloee Comberiati's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Portsmouth Christian over Atlantic Shores Christian

Portsmouth Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They fell 36-24 to the Atlantic Shores Christian Seahawks. The Patriots were not able to make up for their loss to the Seahawks from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

Portsmouth Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cloee Comberiati, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 12 boards. Comberiati has been hot recently, having posted ten or more boards the last three times she's played.

Portsmouth Christian's record is now 3-9. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Portsmouth Christian will head out to face off against Broadwater Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Atlantic Shores Christian, they will venture away from home to square off against Denbigh Baptist Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
