Baseball Game Preview: Mossyrock Vikings vs. Onalaska Loggers

For the second straight game, Mossyrock will face off against Onalaska. The Vikings will be playing at home against the Loggers at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mossyrock is on a nine-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Onalaska a ten-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck.

While Mossyrock's win against Onalaska wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Vikings never let the Loggers get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Monday. The Vikings haven't had any issues with the Loggers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

For Onalaska's part, they got a good showing from Jaxon Dhone, who struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those zero earned runs gave Dhone a new career-low.

At the plate, Onalaska saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Maddox Mckinley, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double. Mckinley is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played. Broxton Mounce also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Onalaska's defeat dropped their record down to 1-14. As for Mossyrock, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-10.
