Basketball Game Preview: Maryvale Panthers vs. Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions + How To Watch

The Maryvale Panthers will venture away from home to square off against the Mountain Ridge Mountain Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maryvale knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Mountain Ridge likes a good challenge.

On Friday, Maryvale came up short against O'Connor and fell 96-84. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (70), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Mountain Ridge posted their closest victory since January 3rd on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 67-65 win over Sunnyside.

Maryvale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Mountain Ridge, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-3.

Maryvale didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Mountain Ridge in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, but they still walked away with a 72-66 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
