After a string of seven wins, St. Mary's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of the ALA - Queen Creek Patriots by a score of 6-3.

Camilla Marquez threw for 96 yards while completing 71.4% of her passes. Nicah Caraveo was her top target, picking up 57 receiving yards.

ALA - Queen Creek can attribute much of their success to Abigail Steele, who picked up 132 receiving yards and one touchdown. Those 132 receiving yards gave Steele a new career-high.

St. Mary's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for ALA - Queen Creek, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-7.

St. Mary's has already played their next matchup, a 20-0 defeat against Mesquite on the 12th. As for ALA - Queen Creek, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 24-10 loss against Prescott on the 12th.
