Football Game Preview: Tucker Tigers vs. St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions + How To Watch

The Tucker Tigers will head out on the road to take on the St. Pius X Catholic Golden Lions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tucker is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 37.2 points per game this season.

Tucker took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They claimed a resounding 42-3 victory over North Springs. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-0.

It was another big night for Jace German, who threw for 200 yards and four touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high.

Despite a strong season so far, St. Pius X Catholic has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They were outmatched by Lithonia and fell 48-7. The Golden Lions were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Tucker has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.4 points on average over those games. As for St. Pius X Catholic, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.

Tucker skirted past St. Pius X Catholic 28-26 when the teams last played back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
