Knightdale triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Isaiah Green

Recap: Knightdale Knights vs. Enloe Eagles

The Knightdale Knights came tearing into Wednesday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16 points) and they left with even more momentum. They secured a 65-60 W over Enloe. Given Knightdale's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 78th, while Enloe is ranked 410th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Isaiah Green continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 24 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. Green is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Williams, who scored 7 points along with 6 assists and 5 rebounds.

Despite the loss, Enloe still got an impressive performance from Owen Pedersen, who shot 5-for-7 from deep and dropped a double-double on 24 points and 10 rebounds. The matchup was Pedersen's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Zarion Hobbs, who scored 12 points.

Knightdale's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Enloe, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.

Knightdale will head out on the road to face off against South Garner at 7:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Enloe, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Southeast Raleigh at 6:30 p.m.
