Volleyball Game Preview: Leigh Longhorns vs. Leland Chargers + How To Watch

Leigh has won three straight games at home, while Leland has won three straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Longhorns will host the Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Leigh beat Silver Creek 3-1.

Leigh had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 14-25, 25-17, 26-24, 25-21.

Amy Choi and Megan Chiu were among the main playmakers for Leigh as the former had 42 assists and seven digs and the latter had 17 digs and two aces. Those 17 digs gave Chiu a new career-high. Lili Pon was another key player, getting 11 digs and four aces.

They weren't the only good servers: Leigh was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in four consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Leland hadn't done well against Branham recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Chargers blew past the Bruins 3-0.

The win got Leigh back to even at 7-7. As for Leland, their victory bumped their record up to 13-3.
