Basketball Recap: Cheney Falls to Sterling in First Game of Season

Cheney unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were beaten by the Sterling Black Bears 69-42 on Tuesday. The Cardinals were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Black Bears apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.

Looking ahead, Cheney will take on El Dorado in a tournament on Tuesday. As for Sterling, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hillsboro.
