Fountain Valley is a perfect 6-0 against Miami-Yoder since October of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Danes will take on the Buffaloes at 4:30 p.m. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fountain Valley came up short against Evangel Christian Academy on Tuesday, falling 3-0. The Danes have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-9, 25-15.

Despite their defeat, Fountain Valley saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Olivia Nunez-Alley, who had 11 digs and five assists, was perhaps the best of all.

Meanwhile, Miami-Yoder lost 3-0 to Thomas MacLaren School last Tuesday.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-12, 25-12.

Fountain Valley now has a losing record of 9-10. As for Miami-Yoder, their loss dropped their record down to 6-14.

Fountain Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Miami-Yoder when the teams last played back in September, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Danes since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
