El Dorado entered their tilt with Amador on Thursday with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Buffaloes. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-1 back in September.

El Dorado was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 26-24, 17-25, 25-18, 15-11.

Alice Ripley paced El Dorado's offense, picking up 14 kills. Ripley got some help from Maddison Angelich and her 22 assists. Stella Dimon controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

El Dorado's record is now 18-8. As for Amador, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 14-13.
