Volleyball Recap: Southeast's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Southeast can bid farewell to their three-match losing streak thanks to their match on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Central Heights Vikings by a score of 2-0.

The final score came out to 25-16, 25-21.

Braelyn Sutton paced Southeast's offense, picking up five kills. Sutton got some help from Elena White and her 11 assists. White also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Emma Gideon, each putting up two.

Despite the defeat, Central Heights saw an underclassman step up: freshman Lillea Clayton had eight digs and two aces.

Southeast's victory bumped their record up to 5-11. As for Central Heights, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-12.

Southeast wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Columbus on the 25th. As for Central Heights, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 loss against Jayhawk Linn on the 23rd.
