Baseball Recap: Three Straight Road Victories for George County

George County won the last time they faced Pascagoula and things went their way on Friday too. The Rebels came out on top against the Panthers by a score of 8-5. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rebels.

Chandler Cameron looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one hit in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Cayler Havard was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Blane Green, who went 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

George County's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 14-9. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Pascagoula, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-15.

George County will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Panthers: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
