Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Liliana Elizondo and Sonya Perez Lead Donna to Victory

The Donna Redskins strolled past the San Perlita Trojans with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 53-36. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Redskins.

Donna was led to victory by Sonya Perez and Liliana Elizondo. Perez dropped a double-double with ten points and 21 boards, while Elizondo shot 57% from the field on her way to 19 points and seven steals. Perez has become a key player for the Redskins: the team is undefeated when she posts at least eight rebounds, but 4-6 otherwise. Alyson Perez was another key player, putting up 12 points and four steals.

Donna smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 23 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Donna's victory bumped their record up to 9-6. As for San Perlita, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-2.
