Volleyball Recap: St. Laurence Vikings vs. Lincoln-Way Central Knights
St. Laurence was the 2-0 winner over Lincoln-Way Central when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Vikings fell just short of the Knights by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Aubrey Martinez paced St. Laurence's offense, picking up 15 kills. Martinez got some help from Keely Bowen and her 26 assists. McKenna Rake controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
St. Laurence's loss dropped their record down to 22-10. As for Lincoln-Way Central, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
