Volleyball Recap: The Fletcher School Takes a Loss

The Fletcher School lost against HOPE Academy on September 9th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Falcons fell just short of the Royals by a score of 3-2. While the Falcons didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Royals 25-19 in the first set.

The Fletcher School started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 19-25, 25-12, 25-14, 15-8.

Among those leading the charge was Ava Hong, who had ten digs and six aces. That's the most aces she has posted since September 4th.

The Fletcher School's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for HOPE Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.

The Fletcher School will square off against Union Preparatory at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. HOPE Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
