Baseball Game Preview: North Hollywood Huskies vs. Kennedy Cougars

The North Hollywood Huskies will take on the Kennedy Cougars at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. North Hollywood has given up an average of 10.7 runs per game this season, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

North Hollywood came up short against Monrovia on Friday, falling 14-3. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Kennedy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Santa Paula. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Cougars have suffered since March 11, 2024.

Kennedy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexander Mendez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. That's the most hits Mendez has posted since back in May of 2024. Alonso Ortiz was another, going 2-for-4 with three RBI.

North Hollywood's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Kennedy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

North Hollywood was able to grind out a solid win over Kennedy in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, winning 7-2. Will North Hollywood repeat their success, or does Kennedy has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
