Softball Recap: Pilgrim Patriots vs. Coventry Oakers

With a playoff win on the line, Pilgrim rose to the challenge on Friday. They won by a run and slipped past the Coventry Oakers 7-6. The game was the first time the Patriots have beaten the Oakers on their field since May 31, 2024.

Gretchen Dombeck made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Dombeck was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
