Baseball Recap: Catholic Central Comes Up Short

Yellow Springs hit Catholic Central with a five-run fourth inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Irish came up short against the Bulldogs, falling 11-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-1 last Thursday.

Catholic Central saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ben Thomas, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base and one run.

This is the second loss in a row for Catholic Central and nudges their season record down to 1-19. As for Yellow Springs, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

Looking ahead, Catholic Central will challenge West Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Yellow Springs, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Triad at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
