Soccer Game Preview: St. Petersburg vs. Seminole

The St. Petersburg Green Devils will face off against the Seminole Warhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

St. Petersburg's defense heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. Everything went their way against Countryside as they made off with an 8-0 victory. St. Petersburg haven't had any issues with Countryside recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

St. Petersburg's offense was hitting Countryside from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Gabby Flores led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Seminole got the win against Clearwater on Tuesday by a conclusive 8-0. Fans of Seminole have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 3+ goals.

Seminole's victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for St. Petersburg, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

St. Petersburg couldn't quite get it done against Seminole in their previous matchup back in November of 2024 as they fell 3-1. Can the Green Devils avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
