Football Recap: Berthoud Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Berthoud dropped to 3-4 on Friday, ending the team's seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Resurrection Christian Cougars, falling 38-6. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Spartans couldn't push the score so high this time.

When it comes to explaining why Berthoud lost, don't look at Brody Hall. Despite the final result, he rushed for 88 yards and one TD.

Berthoud didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Triston Meek and Ryan Callies.

As for Resurrection Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 5-2. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.3 points on average over those games.

Britton Walston produced another solid effort rushing for 170 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 9.4 yards per carry, and also picking up 36 receiving yards and one score. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September of 2024. Jaxson Pszanka was another key player, picking up 132 receiving yards and one TD.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Berthoud is set to challenge their familiar foe University at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Resurrection Christian will face off against rival Wellington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Cougars 12.6, the Eagles 3.9) so any points scored will be well earned.
