Baseball Recap: Avondale Comes Up Short

Avondale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They came up short against the Farmington Falcons, falling 19-1.

Avondale's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11-1. As for Farmington, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-16 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Avondale will welcome Mott at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Yellowjackets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Corsairs have averaged an impressive 8.5 runs per game this season. As for Farmington, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Royal Oak at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
