Softball Game Preview: Metro-East Lutheran Knights vs. East St. Louis Flyers

The Metro-East Lutheran Knights will head out on the road to square off against the East St. Louis Flyers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Metro-East Lutheran and nine for East St. Louis.

On Tuesday, Metro-East Lutheran didn't have quite enough to beat Father McGivney Catholic and fell 6-5.

Meanwhile, East St. Louis lost 16-1 to Alton on Tuesday.

East St. Louis' loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Everything went Metro-East Lutheran's way against East St. Louis in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as Metro-East Lutheran made off with a 14-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Knights since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
