Softball Recap: Cleveland Central Catholic Takes a Loss

Cleveland Central Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to the Open Door Christian Patriots.

Cleveland Central Catholic saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Josalyn Hall, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Hall has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Another was Taahira Bobbitt, who earned one run and two stolen bases.

Cleveland Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Open Door Christian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-6.

Coming up, Cleveland Central Catholic will take on Warrensville Heights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Open Door Christian, they will square off against Margaretta at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Polar Bears have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.54 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of.
