Basketball Game Preview: Bald Eagle Area Eagles vs. Mount Union Trojans

The Bald Eagle Area Eagles are taking a road trip to take on the Mount Union Trojans at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bald Eagle Area is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Central on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Bald Eagle Area came up short against Central, falling 64-43. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 584th, while the Dragons are ranked 113th).

Meanwhile, Mount Union was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 45-40 to Northern Bedford County.

This is the second loss in a row for Bald Eagle Area and nudges their season record down to 4-12. As for Mount Union, their loss dropped their record down to 9-8.

Bald Eagle Area was dealt a bruising 65-34 defeat at the hands of Mount Union when the teams last played back in January of 2022. Can Bald Eagle Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
