Volleyball Recap: Jefferson Area Takes a Loss

Jefferson Area lost against Berkshire back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Falcons took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Badgers. The shutout was out of character for the Falcons seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in August.

Lauren Hanek paced Jefferson Area's offense, picking up four kills. Hanek got some help from Cheyanne McGirr and her eight assists. Kendra Pal controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Jefferson Area's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Berkshire, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 16-2.

Jefferson Area wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Madison on the 4th. As for Berkshire, they have also already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Perry on the 4th.
