Softball Recap: Paris Greyhounds vs. Bourbon County Colonels
Paris entered their contest against Bourbon County on Tuesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Greyhounds lost 10-1 to the Colonels. The Greyhounds were not able to make up for their loss to the Colonels from their previous meeting back in April of 2024.
Paris saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kay Oliver, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.
This is the second loss in a row for Paris and nudges their season record down to 10-6. As for Bourbon County, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 4-11.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Paris will challenge George Rogers Clark at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Cardinals will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Greyhounds surely won't give up without a fight. As for Bourbon County, they will take on Mason County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
