Baseball Recap: Clinton Picks Up Eighth Straight Win at Home

Clinton won the last time they faced Red Springs and things went their way on Thursday too. The Dark Horses were the clear victors by an 11-5 margin over the Red Devils. Considering the Dark Horses have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Brennon Bell, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyhan Wallace, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Clinton's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Red Springs, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clinton will host Hobbton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Red Springs, they will be playing at home against Midway at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
