Joe Mejia Game Report: vs Yucca Valley

A big congratulations to Joe Mejia, who topped the receiving century mark for the first time in his career on Friday. He picked up 119 receiving yards, helping propel Xavier Prep past Yucca Valley by a score of 35-21. We rated that as his best performance since October 25th, 2024, when he made five total tackles.

Mejia and Xavier Prep will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Palm Desert at 7:00 p.m. on October 3. The Saints have some work to do to even out the 2-8 series between these two since November of 2015, but a win here would be a good start.
