Baseball Recap: Cass Takes a Loss

Cass managed to slip by Woodland the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Colonels lost 14-6 to the Wildcats on Thursday.

Zach Stiles made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs and two doubles. Kasey Jacobs also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Cass has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-18 record this season. As for Woodland, they pushed their record up to 12-13 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

While Cass had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
