There's no place like home for Homewood, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Shades Valley Mounties on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Patriots also won the last time the pair played back in September of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-12, 25-19.

Kailyn Mory paced Homewood's offense, picking up seven kills. Mory got some help from Kamryn Coleman and her 15 assists. Mory also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sarah Johnson, each putting up four.

Homewood's win ended a four-match drought at home and bumped them up to 17-18. As for Shades Valley, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-9.

Coming up, Homewood will square off against Cullman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shades Valley, after both having extra time off, they and Pell City will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:00 p.m. on the 15th.
