Boron and Bishop Union are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2018, but likely not for long. The Boron Bobcats will be playing in front of their home fans against the Bishop Union Broncos at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Boron will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
Boron scored the most runs they've had all season to find success on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 19-9 margin over Frazier Mountain.
Melissa Gonzalez and Aubree Lyon did most of the damage at the plate: Gonzalez went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and a double, while Lyon scored four runs while getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances. Lyon continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kalli Wolfe, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of her seven plate appearances.
Meanwhile, it was a hard-fought contest, but Bishop Union had to settle for a 9-7 loss against Mojave on Saturday. Bishop Union has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
