Soccer Recap: Elmira Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Elmira couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They fell just short of the Guilderland Flying Dutchmen by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. Luca Capilli was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Elmira's goal came courtesy of Capilli, who's now up to four this season.

Elmira's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2-3. As for Guilderland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-5-3 record this season.

Elmira does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Guilderland, they will take on Fairport at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday. Fairport's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Guilderland's offense will have their work cut out for them.
