Basketball Game Preview: Issaquah Eagles vs. Mount Si Wildcats

Issaquah hasn't had much luck against Mount Si recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Issaquah Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mount Si Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Last Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Issaquah beat Hazen 52-47. Given the Eagles' advantage in MaxPreps' Washington basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Highlanders are ranked 318th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Mount Si had just enough and edged Woodinville out 62-60 on Tuesday.

Mount Si's win was their 22nd straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 77.4 points per game. As for Issaquah, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-5 record this season.

Issaquah was dealt a bruising 82-55 defeat at the hands of Mount Si when the teams last played back in January of 2024. Thankfully for Issaquah, Trevor Hennig (who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
