Volleyball Recap: Scott's Run of 11 Straight Wins Now Over

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Scott can now relate to. They came up short against the Lexington Catholic Knights on Monday, falling 3-0. Considering the last time the Eagles couldn't score was back in September, the team can't take the result too hard.

While Scott ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-22.

Milyn Minor paced Scott's offense, picking up 12 kills. Minor got some help from Ryann Grigsby and her 29 assists.

Lexington Catholic can attribute much of their success to Finley Quinn, who had eight digs and two assists.

The defeat snapped Scott's winning streak at 11 matches and leaves them with a 29-12 record. As for Lexington Catholic, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 32-4.

Scott does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lexington Catholic, they will face off against Blazer on Friday.
