Carrollton's game on Monday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Richmond Spartans a 17-0 shutout. The Trojans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by nine runs or more this season.

Carrollton's win bumped their record up to 10-2. As for Richmond, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carrollton will challenge Lexington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Richmond, they will welcome Holden at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight.
