Baseball Game Preview: Terra Linda Trojans vs. Tamalpais Red Tailed Hawks

Terra Linda hasn't had much luck against Tamalpais recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Terra Linda will venture away from home to take on Tamalpais at 4:30 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many runs in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Terra Linda is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Friday. They came up short against San Rafael, falling 20-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Trojans have suffered since May 3, 2024.

Terra Linda saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaan Black, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI. Those two RBI gave Black a new career-high.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Tamalpais' offense. They lost 8-0 to Marin Catholic on Friday. The Red Tailed Hawks' loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Tamalpais' defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Terra Linda, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6.

Terra Linda might still be hurting after the 14-7 defeat they got from Tamalpais in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Terra Linda avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
