With a playoff win on the line, Midlothian Heritage rose to the challenge on Saturday. They never let the Lovejoy Leopards get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Jaguars, who have now won 16 games by six runs or more so far this season.

Midlothian Heritage is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for Lovejoy, they moved to 29-6 with that defeat, which also ended their 11-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, Lovejoy will square off against Wakeland on Saturday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Leopards 2.4, the Wolverines 1.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Midlothian Heritage will be paying especially close attention to Lovejoy's contest: after Lovejoy faces off against Midlothian Heritage, they'll take on Midlothian Heritage again on Saturday.
