Virginia Peterson was dynamite on Thursday, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her third in a row with one or fewer walks. On the season, she has an ERA of 5.27 over 89 innings pitched.
